Phil Weatherly is the great nephew of Fred Weatherly
To mark the song鈥檚 centenary, Phil commissioned a new recording of Danny Boy from the band Carmina, which, fittingly, was recorded in Ireland. Phil said, 'I am delighted that have agreed to release their hauntingly beautiful version of Danny Boy to coincide with the centenary of the publication of the lyrics written by my Great Uncle, Frederic E Weatherly. It is a wonderful and unusual arrangement performed by some of the most talented musicians in England and Ireland.'
