After working in various roles from veterinarian assistant in the USA to researcher of primates in Madagascar, Sam settled in Costa Rica at . She oversees the care and rehabilitation of up to 70 wild animals at any one time. From rare squirrel monkeys and sloths to ant eaters and kinkajous the list of in-patients at KSTR reflects the diversity of the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
The abundance of wildlife found here means that Sam’s days are never the same, and never ever dull, often working around the clock she tirelessly strives to get the orphans of Costa Rica back where they belong.
