The Archers cast and crew are taking over the Library of Birmingham.

We're holding a host of FREE drop-in events that will show just how team create the compelling sound of the world's longest-running soap. Come and meet some of your favourite characters and find out what living and working in Ambridge is really like.聽

Q&A: WITH THE ARCHERS CAST AND PRODUCTION TEAM

Have you ever wondered how聽The Archers聽are able to reflect daily news' stories? How the actors kiss on radio? Is the soap recorded on location or in a studio? We'll hold live Q&A sessions with the actors, writers and members of the production team to give you the answers to anything you've ever wanted to know about the village of Ambridge. 30 minute sessions run at聽12.00pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Come and meet some of your favourite Archers stars including TIMOTHY BENTINCK (David Archer), TREVOR HARRISON (Eddie Grundy), LOUIZA PATIKAS (Helen Archer), HEDLI NIKLAUS (Kathy Perks) and EMERALD O'HANRAHAN (Emma Grundy).

LIGHTS DOWN, LISTEN

Drop in from 11.30am to relive dramatic highlights from The Archers past and present. Listening sessions run for 30 minutes at 11.30 am, 12.15pm, 1pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm and 3.15pm.

EXPLORE: THE ARCHERS聽 PAST AND PRESENT

The Library of Birmingham will play host to an interactive Archers exhibition full of pictures, stories and opportunities to discover more about the history of the world鈥檚 longest-running drama series.

DISCOVER: HOME FRONT聽- BRAND NEW DRAMA FOR RADIO 4

Scheduled to launch on the 100th anniversary of World War One,聽大象传媒 Birmingham is developing a new daily 12 minute drama set in Britain during the Great War. Each episode will be set a hundred years to the day before broadcast and will last the length of the war. Home Front will tell the stories of the 41 million Britons who didn鈥檛 go to war, but who pinned their hearts to those who did.
