Tom Ridout is from Aylesbury and began learning the recorder and clarinet before moving onto saxophone around the age of 10. Tom attended both the Junior Department of The Royal Academy of Music on recorder and the Junior Jazz at The Royal Academy of Music on saxophone during his 6th form years and also gained places on the National Youth Jazz Collective Summer Schools. He is now in his final year at The Royal Academy of Music, studying for a jazz degree on saxophone. Tom also plays tenor saxophone in the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
