When Cherry arrived she turned heads amongst the male staff.
When Cherry arrived she was a breath of fresh air. Optimistic, fun loving and a fan of pink, Cherry had a positive attitude to life and her patients. She also had an eidetic memory, which came in useful on occasions.
But Cherry was to be worn down by events. Her first real knock was when her big love Scott Nielson, turned out to be a high living drug dealer. Worse, she woke up next to his dead body after he overdosed on heroin.
However, Cherry bounced back and soon began a deep friendship with Simon Bond and moved in with him. But there was a schism in this relationship too when she questioned the wisdom of his affair with a married man. Her new relationship with was something of a whirlwind and she failed to notice the signs of Simon’s deterioration.
But Simon recovered and Cherry was in love with Jimmi. He went off to travel, leaving Cherry to marry Jimmi in what she thought was her first proper grown up relationship.
After the excitement of the wedding at a Chateau, Cherry struggled with the day to day routine of a man stuck in his ways and wrestling his OCD demons. It took Cherry to quite a dark place and in a moment of madness, she had a drunken encounter with .
The fallout was horrendous. Jimmi and were deeply wounded, Daniel was suffering from post natal depression, so the blame seemed to land largely on Cherry’s shoulders. Suddenly ‘Princess Pinky’ was seen as a villain. In a dramatic exit, Cherry confessed all to a dumbfounded , who had accidentally flipped the intercom switch – and the whole thing was broadcast round the practice. Cherry left Letherbridge, still trying to keep her head high.
