Britain Seeks to Renegotiate Key Parts of Brexit Deal Including Irish Backstop

Parliament has authorised the PM to return to Brussels and ask for changes.

On Tuesday British Prime Minister Theresa got the support of parliament to return to the European Union and ask for a change to the Brexit withdrawal agreement. She's been mandated to ask for 'alternative arrangements' to the Irish backstop, which guarantees there wouldn鈥檛 be a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

In Venezuela, mass protests have been held in various parts of the country by groups pledging solidarity to Juan Guaido, the opposition leader who declared himself interim president just over a week ago.
