Twitter and Facebook block Hong Kong misinformation

The companies say they have blocked or suspended accounts originating in mainland China that had used deceptive tactics to undermine recent political protests in Hong Kong.

Twitter and Facebook say they've taken steps to block a Chinese misinformation campaign targeting the protest movement in Hong Kong; a court in El Salvador has pardoned a woman convicted under the country's strict abortion laws. Evelyn Hernandez had been raped as a teenager and was serving a thirty year sentence; and Indonesian authorities say they have regained control after protesters set fire to a local parliament building in the eastern province of West Papua.
