Hong Kong protests: Twitter and Facebook remove Chinese accounts
Networks move to quash China-backed accounts intended to "sow political discord" in Hong Kong.
Twitter and Facebook have taken steps to block what they described as a state-backed Chinese misinformation campaign. Twitter said it removed 936 accounts it said were being used to 鈥渟ow political discord in Hong Kong鈥; we speak to a member of China's Uighur Muslim community who's written an open letter asking Beijing to free his father from what he's calling a concentration camp; and a young Somali poet tells us how her work is inspired by her life in the US.
