US President-elect, Joe Biden, is calling for an urgent bipartisan agreement in Congress to help people who've lost their jobs because of the pandemic. The government of Denmark has pledged to give up its North Sea oil production by the year 2050 in order to meet its commitments under the Paris Agreement on Climate Change; we hear more from Steven Mufson at the Washington Post.
