Live Lounge
General Voting Guidelines:
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Code of Conduct for competitions and audience voting can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/competitioncode.
Between 2 March 2009 and 29 March 2009, during the Radio 1 Live Lounge, listeners will be presented with a selection of performances by three different acts. After the selection for the third act has been aired, the voting line and vote opening times will be announced, along with the message that listeners will be required to text if they wish to vote for their favourite acts. The voting line will remain open for approximately 20 minutes.
After the voting window is closed, the results will be announced. The act (or acts in the event of a tie) with the highest number of votes will be pronounced the winner (s). A track by the winning act (s) will then be played in full
Voting is only available by mobile text messaging.
Votes received outside the specified times will not be counted, but texts may still be charged. Voting times may change.
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ reserves the right to cancel or suspend voting at any time and substitute an alternative method of selection at its absolute discretion.
Each text vote costs the standard rate from your service provider. Make sure you carefully text the correct message for the act you wish to vote for.
Voters must obtain permission from the bill payer before voting by text. Voters under the age of 12 should obtain parent/guardian consent before voting.
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ reserves the right to disqualify votes if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting.
The ´óÏó´«Ã½, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any vote being lost or not properly registered or recorded.
There is no prize or other reward for voting.
