On 29 AugustÌý1958 Michael Joseph Jackson was born in Gary Indiana, the seventh child of the famous musicalÌýfamily.

To celebrate his turning 50 earlier this year, Motown legend Lionel Richie presented the "King of Pop's" all time best selling top 30 UK singles as a solo artist as compiled by the Official Charts Company.

Interspersed with rare archive interview material and comments from big names in the world of music, tracks in the show ranged from songs recorded when Jackson was just a boy through the hugely successful 80s era when Quincy Jones produced some of his biggest albums right up to songs recorded in the new millennium.
