Man Booker International Prize
John Wilson is joined by Professor John Carey who announces the contenders for the first ever Man Booker International Prize - which will be awarded every two years to a living author who publishes fiction in English, or whose work is widely available in translation in English.

The latest film from Rushmore and The Royal Tenebaums director Wes Anderson is The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. This surreal spoof on the world of Jacques Cousteau, set on the good ship Belafonte, stars Bill Murray as the oceanographer on a mission to avenge the death of his friend in the jaws of the mythical Jaguar Shark.
