Kelly's Grid Response
Dr Raj Persaud and the Producer of All in the Mind, Marya Burgess, go through some of the e-mails from listeners who filled in Kelly's Repertory Grid, the personality test where you decide what's going to be tested.
For details - and to try the grid yourself - see the
9 October page, where you can also listen again to the programme.
Book details:
George Kelly by Fay Fransella, published by Sage 1995.
Professor Til Wykes
, Professor of Clinical Psychology and Rehabilitation at the Institute of Psychiatry, has been helping people with schizophrenia improve their cognitive skills - their memory, attention, organisational abilities - with something called Cognitive Remediation Therapy or CRT. She's recently published a further paper on that study, revealing that functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging - fMRI scans - of the brains of the schizophrenic subjects showed marked changes in brain activity following CRT.
