Patricia Duncker
The author talks about her latest novel – The Strange Case of the Composer and his Judge.

On New Year’s Day, 2000, French hunters find a half-circle of dead bodies lying in the snow. They are the remains of the members of a suicide cult and the Judge is put in charge of the investigation into their deaths. She meets the Composer who is connected to every one of the dead through a religious sect known as the Faith. Known as ‘la chasseuse de sectes’ – the sect hunter – the Judge is famous for her success in exposing the frauds and charlatans who create sects to make money from weak and lonely people. But, is the Composer one of those frauds? Has she finally met her match?Ìý Patricia Duncker, Professor of Contemporary Literature at the University of Manchester joins Jenni in the studio.

‘The Strange Case of the Composer and His Judge’ is published by Bloomsbury
ISBN: 9 781408 804179.
