Angela Huth
The sequel to 'The Land Girls' shows how they fared after the war.

Angela Huth captured the public imagination in the nineties with her novel 'Land Girls' -Ìýa story inspired by the women who did their patriotic duty by working as farm labourers during the Second World War (it was later made into film starring Anna Friel and Rachel Wiesz). Jenni finds out why Angela has now been inspired to write the sequel, 'Once a Land Girl', in which she reveals how the original characters fared after the war ended, when they were forced to hand over their pitchforks and put on their pinnies.
