Sex discrimination and lesbianism Friday 3 August 2001
If you are discriminated against in the workplace because you are a woman, there is a fair chance of you winning your case under sex discrimination laws.

But what about if you suffer abuse because you are gay? Former teacher Shirley Pearce was forced into early retirement after years of harassment by pupils over her sexuality. She lost her legal case.
She joins Barrister Sandyha Drew, who worked on the case, to discuss how the law may need to be changed.
