Ìý Helen Cross Wednesday 8 August 2001 Ìý
Reviews for Helen Cross' debut novel My Summer of Love have included 'a hand grenade of a first novel' and 'an outstanding debut'. It's also featured in several papers' top ten beach reads.

My Summer of Love tells the story of two 15 year olds Mona and Tamsin who spend one long, hot summer together - Mona is the aspiring criminal and Tamsin is a spoilt rich girl living on the posh side of town.
The story doesn't shy away from describing their awful antics and and is shot through with black humour.
Helen tells Martha how she came to create two such vibrant and distinctive characters.
My Summer of Love (Bloomsbury, ISBN: 0747552762, £9.99).
