Children's fiction used to be a world of dragons and demons, witches and wizards, and the battle between forces of good and evil.
These days it's just as likely to include drugs, divorce and teenage sex. But should today's youth be fed a diet of grim reality or should children stick to fantasy?
Martha discusses the issues with Melvin Burgess, author of controversial new children's book Lady: My Life as a Bitch, and children's author Diana Wynne Jones, best known for the Chrestomanci series.
