Ìý A Magic Toyshop Monday 10 September 2001 Ìý
Angela Carter reshaped the literary landscape with her distinctive and imaginative novels, including Nights at the Circus, The Company of Wolves and Nothing Sacred.

Her comic novel Wise Children was adapted for Radio 4 by playwright Bryony Lavery earlier this year.
Now Bryony has adapted Carter's 1967 book, A Magic Toyshop, for the stage.
It's a dark but magical tale of a young girl's sexual awakening. Bryony joins Jenni to discuss her adaptation.
A Magic Toyshop will be performed at Wolsey Theatre, Ispwich on 11th-15th September 2001. Box office: 01473 295 900.
For further information on the subsequent tour call Bridget Thornborrow on 020 7247 4437.
