This Thursday sees the official opening of the new Women's Library, appropriately built on the site of a mid-nineteenth century wash house in the Whitechapel area of East London.
What was formerly the Fawcett Library now has a brand new building to house its 60,000 books and pamphlets, two and a half thousand periodical titles and four hundred archival collections.
This is where you can find both a first edition Mary Wollstonecraft's Vindication of the Rights of Women and the suffragette martyr Emily Wilding Davison's return ticket from the Epsom Derby.
