Not a single mention of this story on the Stornoway Gazette website. As usual, heads buried in the sand hoping it will all go away and not tarnish the islands reputation.

Wrong, Jimmy, your link has expired. Try this http://www.stornowaytoday.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=2629&ArticleID=1734025 Nothing. Why is that? It has been headlines in the national news. The girl has been interviewed on TV. Apparently, her mother has been poisoning her mind against her father and his religion...
Ruth from Ex Lewis
Au contraire, Ruth - the story is still there at the address I gave and has been since 28th August. There is also a shorter reference to it in the News section in the drop-down News box at top left of the homepage.
Jimmy from Eilean Leodhais
Sorry Jimmy. You go onto the Stornoway Today website and see if you can find it. The article you are referring to was featured the week before last. On Thursday, they updated the site and there isn't a mention of it at all.

Now you see it, now you don't. And it is not just money....

Well, in any case, from the pics I've seen she looks extremely happy to be where she is, in Pakistan. Good luck to her!
Jimmy from Eilean Leodhais
doubt we;ve heard the last of this
rick from middle of nowhere
rick, I think you've heard the last of it if all you read is the Stornoway Gazette. How come it's national news and yet it's all hushed up in the local paper?
Ruth from Ex Lewis
This is a LOCAL paper - we'll have no trouble here!
Jimmy from Eilean Leodhais
Correct Jimmy. Let the Locals continue to bury their heads in the sand, if that's what pleases them. God probably told them to do it anyway.
