this 'n' that

Well I have not been posting again and have not managed to keep up with reading blogs either, I joined the art group last Saturday and enjoyed it, it was so nice to just draw, must try and do more,

I read this poem on blog and liked it so much I decided to post it on my blog,

"First, lay down your head
then one by one
let go of all distractions.
Embrace the light and let it guide you
beyond the winds of desire.
There you will find a spring and
nourished by its sweet waters
like a tree you will bear fruit forever."

Rumi

to answer a question about the quilted postcards, the textile/quilted postcards are the same size as paper postcards, 4 x 6 inches or if you are on decimal 10 x 15 centimetres, they are sent naked (without an envelope) just like paper postcards, some post offices charge more but others charge regular postcard rates, I have sent and received Textile postcards to many people around the world for more than 3 years now and I just love receiving them,

finished quilting 2 more blocks for the sample quilt, it is interesting how a block can change so much by the fabric colours, one of the interesting things about several of us each making a sample quilt was the different look of the same block pattern in all the different colour combinations people chose, 2 people finished their sample quilts and they were in the Quilt Exhibition at An Lanntair, I will finish mine one day….
