Hello Squidgy, Again super, super pictures and some of my totem animal, the brown hare! Thank you. Sailing plans have been altered owing to lack of participants, now I am looking into the possibility to sail to Coll in a sieve. Of course this sort of thing has been done before but not on "Big Brother" - yet. I'll keep you posted, don't lose hope!

Oh Barney, You can reach me by sail boat, climb the Crow’s Nest and swing rope to rope. Take some cardboard and slide down the slope, into these arms of mine. You can jump on a Calmac Boat, cross the Sea in a blaze of hope I don't care how you get here, just - get here if you can. There are Midges and Mountains between us Always something to get over If I had my way, surely you would be closer. I need you closer. xxxx

A Fine Romance this is going to be... I'm trying SO hard not to be envious of your lovely hare snap Squidgy. A superb blog even by your standards! Barney must remember to take some honey and lots of money wrapped up in a five Kroner note!

Guys, what a day I had today. I visited the seals in leaky wellies. The tide was out and there they were sat on the rocks so close to me. I waded into the sea, the wellies filled up and the seals looked on in amusement at the loony who visits them every day. From the beach I could see Barra and the Uists, I gave you a wave, hope you saw me. Then I only went and stepped into some quick sand right up to my knees. Would the dogs save me and pull me out, eeerrrrr, NO !! Anyway after freeing myself from a somewhat terrible death, I then found something more familiar with tropical shores - An unopened coconut. Where had it come from I wondered. It was covered in barnacles so had been in the sea a while. It wasn't one like you buy from the supermarket, but still had it's green overcoat on. How strange !! Well, just a few notes from a normal day on a small island. xxx

Squidgy the Renaissance Woman - poet, artist, blogwonder. FC, I have tumbled before when suggesting corrections to your quotes, but here goes again: "They took some honey and PLENTY of money", etc. Just now the sievesailor is having difficulty finding insurance in Sweden - can't understand why - but hopes are high that a more understanding and sympa attitude will reign in UK yacht insurance circles. I guess the Swedes haven't read Edward Lear.

Ah, at last AC, we hear from one of the great Coll Bloggers again. I have just read our friend TWS of Lewis's blog dedicated to you. You must be something special for TWS to devote an entire Blog to you. Who sang that song, it's on the tip of my tongue... If you leave me now, you'll take away the very heart of me..,,,something, something, ooooo babe, please don't go, I just want you to stay. So AC, I know the comments have been slow or lost, or both, but please don't give up the ghost and abandon the island blogs. We need you to keep us on our toes!!. There's only one Acutely Curious !!!Anyway, welcome back.

Oh Hamish from Up the Glen, Tis a long time since I was Squiffy, last time was Christmas, maybe next time will be Easter, when the Easter bunny comes hopping along. Was it Bread who sang that song... oh goodness me, its going to irritate me all day until I remember it. No, no, its coming to me now, not Bread, but Chicago. Sure it was....

Barney, that was no poem.. It was a "subtle" adaptation of Oleta Adams' love song, GET HERE.. You must have heard it. You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab Man, I don't care how you get here, just get here when you can. Blimey, we'll be banned from blogging soon, and told "To get a room" . Tee hee..

Thank you very much for your kind correction Barney.

Seals are nearly as curious as otters! I used to sing to one named George along the rocks past the East Sands at St. Andrews. George could stare enough at this strange noisy thing on the shore. We never got to shake flippers unfortunately.
