The
film revolves around three criminals and a police officer.
Ali
(Arbaaz), Abbas (Sanjay Kapoor) and Laila (Isha Koppikar) are the
biggest arms dealers in India.
Their
main ambition is to make large sum of money and migrate to Pakistan
where they can spend the rest of their lives in total comfort.
To
achieve their dreams, they must first destroy Mumbai city.
They
turn their plan into action when they kidnap 213 passengers and
hold entire Mumbai for ransom, with their weapons of mass destruction.
Police
officer, Akram Sheikh (Sunil Shetty) decides on a counter attack.
He
seeks the help of Rachit (Ajay Devgan), a criminal in jail. He has
been charge for the murder of a man who killed Sapna, his girlfriend.
Rahul
(Aashish Chowdhary), a scientist, joins Akram as he has the antidote
for the virus that the criminals possess.
So
begins a desperate attempt to save the hostages and the whole city
Mumbai.
The
production values for this film are grand in every respect including
sets, music locations and stunts.
The
climax of the film is filled with tension keeping you at the edge
of your seat.
Ajay
Devgan鈥檚 screen performance is brilliant as usual. He has the natural
ability to show his emotions through his eyes.
Sunil
Shetty supports equally well as the police officer whilst Neha Dhupia
makes an impressive debut.
Director
Harry Baweja is onto a winner with this one. As a film maker, he
has improved tremendously since his last release, Dilwale.
If
its action, romance and stunts that you are after, then Qayamat
will definitely satisfy your Bollywood palate.
