Richard, Manchester
I've seen Glen Maney's stand-up in a comedy club, and as a comedian he was apallingly unfunny. Can't say his acting's much better!

Mike Newell - Bishops Stortford
Can't agree with Colin from "Warrick" apart from one scene. I thought the acting was excellent. The film looks like it was made on a miniscule budget and the lighting leaves a lot to be desired, but I found it better than many on here. Well done to the makers.

Kevin Merron
I thought the lead acting was excellent. The film was a little lacking though, there seemed to be too many light variations.

Colin, Warrick
i thought that this film had potential - hence i watched it. i hope that the comedian who played the lead has a better range of humourous anecdotes then he does acting ability. or maybe this was one of his jokes. "one time i did this film" insert canned laughter. this was painfull at best.

Richard Winter
I really liked this. Don't know why, but I did. Yes, atmospheric and if the Landlord is a comedian I'm surprised. Looks like a pretty scary guy.

Wajih Khan
I thought it was very atmospheric and the landlord was a pretty frightening guy. I'd pay my rent !

Martin Booth, Wwarwick
Terrible film. This had so much potential but I felt let down on so many levels.

Miles Travis
I enjoyed it. If the actor is a comedian, I think he has a long acting career ahead of him. I think he was sinister and chilling. My favourite film here.

Liz - Nottingham
Genuinely creepy and effective. No idea what makes our American cousin think it's supposed to be a comedy!! Well acted and nicely filmed, I think.

Alan - London
Liked the use of framing in creating mood and atmosphere. Probably too subtle for Joe the American!! He'd no doubt prefer something with an explosion and a killer robot from the future...or something.

Joe - USA
This is supposed to be funny? Simply stupid and amateurish, I think

Gary Megson
I really enjoyed this. Good atmospherics and nicely played by one of my favourite comedians.

John Robson - Battersea
Nice little film. I love Glen Maney as a stand-up, but thought he was really quite good in this role. The directors should be proud of their achievement.I particularly liked the lighting and room. It must have taken hours to get such a dive of a room organised.

Maureen Baldwin LONDON
Excellant work from 'New boys on the Block'

John Cooper
Really quite good

Sally Mylgreest
Very enjoyable short.I only knew about it because comedian Glen Maney was in it and I thought he was excellent in a straight role.

Dianne Warwick - Isle of Wight
Yes, I liked this too. I thought the Landlord had a great range of expression that spoke volumes.

Mark Warwick - Isle of Wight
What a nice little film, that shows what can be done with a miniscule budget and a bit of talent. I thought the guy who plays the lead was excellent.

Ian Fox
Absolutely Brilliant.

Susan Smithers
I'm a big fan of Glen Maney's comedy and I thought his performance in this role was excellent. I also thought that atmosphere that was conjured up my the film makers in this project was excellent.

Paul Long, Portsmouth
Just to say could you credit me with co-direction of the film on your website. If you check the credits you'll find 'Bitter Sleep' was a combined directing effort. Both myself and Steve have a history of co-directing films, with the financial support of Glen Maney, the actor in 'Bitter Sleep'. The quality of entries for the online film festival is superb. Short films need this kind of support, as - with the digital revolution - this is where the next generation of film makers will emerge from. Thank you for including the film. I look forward to seeing which one Mark Kermode chooses to win. Regards, Paul Long Writer/Co director & producer of 'Bitter Sleep.'
