of films in this year's festival.

Mark Kermode judged the shortlist
of films entered in The Big Screen film festival.

is the resident film critic for the New Statesman and for 大象传媒 Radio 5 Live.
He is also a contributing editor to Sight & Sound, a regular writer for the
Observer, and a panellist on Newsnight Review.
Mark is the author of
two British Film Institute Modern Classics, on The Exorcist and The Shawshank
Redemption.
He has a PhD in Modern English and American Horror Fiction,
and is a Fellow of the English and Film Department of Southampton University.
He also plays the double bass in local rockabilly band, The Dodge Brothers
- regulars at the Thomas Tripp, in Lymington.
