Help playing audio/video Doncaster Racecourse hotel postponedA 拢13-million hotel and apartment development at Doncaster Racecourse has been postponed because of the credit crunch. Building work should have started this summer on a 120 bedroom four star hotel and 34 apartments at the site on Bawtry Road and Leger Way. But the developers Arena Leisure say the work won't now start until the current finacial climate improves. Paul Shrimpton from the company says it's only a temporary setback: "Obviously we're very disappointed. A lot of work has gone into this project and we feel it's now in very good shape from both a commercial and a design perspective. We've brought it to a stage where it's ready to go as soon as the timing is right." On the busesAccording to transport operator Stagecoach, rising fuel costs and concern for the environment have led to an extra million bus journeys being made by people in Sheffield.
