Paceman Conor McKerr and batter Ben Geddes will be leaving county champions Surrey.

McKerr, 26, has spent eight seasons at the club, claiming 100 wickets across all formats, and spent part of this season on loan at Yorkshire in the T20 Blast.

Geddes, 23, has been with the county since the age of eight.

He scored 1,180 runs across all formats and captained the side during their 2022 One-Day Cup campaign.

"While I am disappointed to see the pair leave and move to other counties, I fully understand and respect their decisions," said.

Geddes made 41 appearances for Surrey and scored two centuries in his 12 first-class innings.

鈥淚 have mixed emotions but am excited for the new challenge and everything that might bring," he said.

"A special thank you to Alec Stewart and Gareth Batty for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to live out a childhood dream."

During his time at The Oval he had seven loan spells elsewhere, including three at Derbyshire and two at Kent.

鈥淢ost importantly, I want to thank Stewie (Alec Stewart)," he said.

"From my first day at The Oval until my last day, he has helped me and supported me in life as well as cricket and will always be grateful to him for what he has given me."
