Durham sign Warwickshire all-rounder Rhodes
Durham have signed former Warwickshire captain Will Rhodes on a three-year contract to start next summer.
It was announced in July that the 29-year-old all-rounder, who led Warwickshire to the County Championship title in 2021, would leave Edgbaston at the end of the season.
He has scored almost 8,500 runs and taken 168 wickets in all formats of the game since his career began with Yorkshire in 2013.
"A player of his quality, character, and experience does not become available all that often, so we are obviously delighted to have secured Will," said Durham director of cricket Marcus North.
"Will鈥檚 skillset not only strengthens our team but will give us further versatility in both our County Championship and white-ball sides."
Rhodes recently scored 201 against Kent in the Championship, just six runs short of his highest first-class score.
As well as 11 first-class centuries, he also hit 113 in a 50-over One-Day Cup game against Nottinghamshire in 2022.
On his move to Chester-le-Street, he said: "I have heard nothing but good things about the club from past and current players, so I am looking forward to getting up North in the winter and getting started with everyone."
