Aldershot Town 0-0 Ebbsfleet United

  • Published

Aldershot missed the chance to move within a point of National League leaders Macclesfield as they were held to a goalless draw by Ebbsfleet.

Both goalkeepers had saves to make in the first half but there was little to be excited about after the break.

Aldershot went close when Nicke Kabamba fed Manny Oyeleke, who was denied by goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore's trailing leg.

Lewis Ward came to the Shots' rescue at the other end, repelling Dave Winfield's close-range strike.

The two sides cancelled each other out after the break as Aldershot extended their unbeaten league run to six games but could not take full advantage of Macclesfield's six-goal hammering at Fylde.
