Maidstone United 0-1 Barrow
- Published
Barrow maintained their impressive away form with victory against fellow strugglers Maidstone.
The visitors enjoyed the better of the early exchanges but it was Maidstone who created the best chance when Ross Lafayette headed just over.
Jack Paxman screwed a shot agonisingly wide for the home side, but it was Barrow who took the lead when Luke James surged into the area and slammed the ball into the bottom corner for his first goal for the club.
Barrow dominated the second half with Bedsente Gomis seeing a shot blocked and Asa Hall bringing a fine save from Lee Worgan.
Maidstone's Blair Turgott saw an effort saved at the near post and he then fired wide as the home side exerted some late pressure, but Barrow held on to improve their record to just one defeat in their past eight matches on the road.
