Wealdstone 1-1 Boreham Wood

  • Published

Wealdstone were able to dig in after Mason Barrett's second-half red card to earn a draw at home to Boreham Wood.

Erico Sousa put Wood ahead in the 18th minute, but Tarryn Allarakhia produced a brilliant leveller before half-time in the National League game.

Barrett's sending-off in the 68th minute made the final exchanges an uphill battle for Wealdstone, but they held firm to end their three-match losing run.

Sousa gave the visitors the perfect start when he cut inside and rifled into the bottom corner in London.

Allarakhia made sure Wealdstone were on level terms at the break when he collected the ball by the halfway line and dribbled past a number of opponents before he side-footed into the bottom corner in the pouring rain.

The hosts' chances of pushing for a winner were largely ended when Barrett received two bookings in the space of 11 minutes and it finished all square.
