Sheffield Wednesday head coach Danny Rohl has stated he is not happy his side were only able to pick up a point in the 1-1 draw with Cardiff City.

Wednesday dominated Saturday's game, producing 16 shots, although only three of them were on target.

"Yeah of course not happy from my side - again the performance I think we tried everything to win this game," Rohl told ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Sheffield.

"It's the final decision, maybe one extra pass to make it a 100% goal chance, then we had a one against one with the goalkeeper.

"We missed I think four big chances, we didn’t score and it’s hard to take.

The Owls have started the season inconsistently, winning five and losing seven of their first 16 league matches, but Saturday's performance ranks as one of their best of the campaign so far.

"I must say we controlled really everything from them, the big things that I wanted them to- ball possession and a good structure.

"But we want to win games and that’s the most important thing in football."

Rohl also acknowledged it was an unusual that his side have not been awarded a single penalty since he took charge 13 months ago.

"You need this in football as well, the luck, I understand everyone says we could have had five [more] points," he added.
