Cardiff Devils and Guildford Flames battle for possession

Cardiff Devils fought back from 2-1 down to beat Guildford Flames in the Challenge Cup for the second time in 2023-24.

The win followed Friday night's 5-0 win over Coventry Blaze.

Joshua Waller struck first for Devils on Saturday with Kyle Locke replying before Matt Alvaro put the hosts ahead.

Sam Duggan, Waller, Riley Brandt, Marcus Crawford and Jamie Arniel added Devils goals before Lewis Hook scored a Flames consolation.

Devils had avenged an earlier defeat by Blaze the previous day in Cardiff.

Blaze won 4-2 when the sides met in September, with recent signing Brandon Alderson opening his account for Devils with Brandt, Cody Donaghey, Trevor Cox and Tyler Busch also scoring.

Devils return to Elite League action as they host Manchester Storm on Saturday, 21 October (19:00 BST).
