Cardiff Devils fought back from 4-2 down to earn a dramatic Elite League shootout win at Guildford Flames.

The visitors took the lead through Cole Ully, cancelled out by Austin Glover before Brett Ferguson put the hosts head.

Joey Martin struck for Devils, but Matt Tugnutt and Ben O'Conner scored for Flames.

Brandon Alderson hit back before Bode Wilde levelled. Wilde then sealed the shootout win.

The Sunday victory came a day after Devils beat Dundee Stars 7-4 for their first home league win of 2024.

Josh Batch, Martin and Justin Crandall fired the hosts 3-0 ahead in Cardiff, although Anthony Rinaldi and James Phelan hit back for Dundee.

Carter Johnson then struck after Tyler Busch and Jamie Arniel had restored Devils' three-goal cushion.

But Wilde - with the first of his three weekend goals - and Crandall netted either side of a second Johnson effort to earn Cardiff a 7-4 success.

Flames have the chance to earn revenge on Devils in Cardiff, where the teams meet on Saturday, 27 January (19:00 GMT).
