Cardiff Devils earned a 3-1 win over Glasgow Clan in their 2024-25 Elite League opener.
Reid Duke fired the hosts ahead after just six minutes at the Vindico Arena, although Mitchell Heard equalised for the Scottish side eight minutes into the second period.
But Duke netted his second of the night midway through the third period before Josh MacDonald struck late on to ensure the Welsh side started their season with maximum points.
Devils return to action against Guildford Flames on Sunday night (18:00 BST), with Clan facing Coventry Blaze on the same day (17:30 BST).
