A dramatic final round of games is at an end and now, for eight teams, it's on to the quarter-finals to hunt a coveted spot at the Finals Day party.

In the meantime, I think we all need a little breather.

    See you next time.

England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan's been speaking to Sky Sports after his incredible 83 not out from 29 balls, more about whether he'll carry on internationally until next year's World T20 than his amazing innings against Somerset this evening.

"It actually does make you think 'well at least I know I can still do it' but it won't make me suddenly rush into deciding my future.

"The support we've had as England players since I came into the team in 2009 has been incredible and I just want to make sure I make the right decision and don't let anyone down."

On links to the captaincy of the Test team.

"Joe Root's doing a great job as Test captain and for me watching Ashes cricket at its height is an absolute joy. I won't be playing red ball cricket."

  3. YORKSHIRE BEAT BIRMINGHAM BEARS BY 19 RUNSpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Birmingham 181-5 (20 overs) v Yorkshire 200-3 (20 overs)

At Edgbaston, Yorkshire prevail in the dead rubber.

Birmingham fell short in their chase, with Sam Hain's knock of 64 from 46 balls in vain.

  4. LANCASHIRE BEAT LEICESTERSHIRE FOXES BY 5 WICKETSpublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Lancashire 143-5 (18.4 overs), Leicestershire 142-9

Lancashire sealed top spot in the North Group with a comfortable win over Leicestershire at Old Trafford.

The Foxes suffered four run-outs as they made a modest 142-9 despite a bright start as Mark Cosgrove (39) helped them to 77-2.

The hosts were always in control of the chase, led by openers Alex Davies (39) and Liam Livingstone (28), and reached their target with eight balls in hand

  5. NORTHANTS BEAT WORCESTERSHIRE BY 7 WICKETSpublished at 21:31 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Northamptonshire 189-3 (18.5 overs) v Worcestershire 188-5

A brilliant chase by Northants denies Worcestershire second spot after Notts' earlier defeat.

Moeen Ali found more form away from the England set-up with 51 to lift the visitors to 188-5, while Riki Wessels made 45 and Ben Cox added an unbeaten 44.

But half-centuries from Alex Rossington, Josh Cobb and Dwaine Pretorius helped the Steelbacks claim an impressive seven-wicket win with seven balls to spare.

  6. Quarter-final line-uppublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

So, here is the full line-up of quarter-finals after a dramatic conclusion to the South Group:

  7. ESSEX THROUGH TO QUARTER-FINALSpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 30 August 2019
    Breaking

Essex's win over Kent is enough to see them qualify for the last eight at their opponents expense.

That's after Somerset and Hampshire both lost as well.

The quarter-final line-up is now complete, stay right there for it...

  8. GLAMORGAN BEAT HAMPSHIRE BY 28 RUNSpublished at 21:26 British Summer Time 30 August 2019
    Breaking

    Hampshire 188-8 (20 overs) v Glamorgan 216-5 (20 overs)

It was a valiant chase by Hampshire as their hunt for a play-off spot ends in Cardiff.

Glamorgan claim their first win of their T20 campaign with a record score at Sofia Gardens thanks to six-laden knocks from Colin Ingram, Chris Cooke and David Lloyd.

James Vince made a rapid 43 and Sam Northeast top-scored with 60 in reply, but three wickets from Roman Walker and two from Marchant de Lange, who also took a stunning catch, allows the hosts to end a miserable campaign on a high.

  9. MIDDLESEX THROUGH TO QUARTER-FINALSpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 30 August 2019
    Breaking

Combined with other results, that sensational knock from England captain Eoin Morgan in helping Middlesex chase down a record 227 clinches his side's place in the last eight. Quite unbelievable hitting from Morgan in what was basically the round of 16.

  10. ESSEX BEAT KENT BY 10 RUNSpublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 30 August 2019
    Breaking

    Kent 179 (20 overs) v Essex 189-6 (20 overs)

Another collapse by Kent in a run-chase and it costs them dear.

  11. wicket

WICKET: Wood c Smith b Walker 0published at 21:22 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Hampshire 177-7 (18.4 overs) – (target 217)

Hampshire collapsing in a heap as they chase the improbable.

Roman Walker makes it two wickets in two balls as Chris Wood goes first ball.

    40 off eight anyone?

  12. MIDDLESEX WIN BY SIX WICKETSpublished at 21:21 British Summer Time 30 August 2019
    Breaking

    Middlesex 227-4 (17 overs) v Somerset 226-5 (20 overs)

England captain Eoin Morgan finishes it with a six down the ground to end up 83 not out from 29 balls - five 4s and eight 6s.

Middlesex have won it with three overs to spare, that is utterly bonkers.

They've breezed to the fourth highest run-chase in the T20 history and the highest ever in the T20 Blast.

    Can't speak.

    What must Somerset be thinking.

  13. wicket

WICKET McManus c Ingram b Walker 4published at 21:19 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Hampshire 176-6 (18.2 overs) – (target 217)

Roman Walker picks up his second wicket as a slower ball deceives Lewis McManus who chips it to Colin Ingram.

  14. GLOUCESTERSHIRE BEAT SUSSEX BY THREE WICKETSpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 30 August 2019
    Breaking

    Gloucestershire 168-7 (20 overs) v Sussex 163-8 (20 overs)

Gloucestershire needed 18 runs off the final two overs at Hove to win, and Graeme van Buuren leads them to victory with an unbeaten 37 from 20 balls.

That secures a home quarter-final for the visitors.

  15. Morgan maniapublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Middlesex 221-4 (16.5 overs) - target 227

Middlesex are going to easily win this one.

Eoin Morgan is 77 not out from 28 balls. There are no typos there.

  16. wicket

WICKET Northeast b Sisodiya 60published at 21:14 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Hampshire 165-5 (17.1 overs) – (target 217)

That may well be that for Hampshire as Prem Sisodiya bowls top-scorer Sam Northeast for 60, off 41 balls.

Lewis McManus next to the crease with the visitors needing 52 off 17 balls.

  17. DURHAM BEAT NOTTS BY 47 RUNSpublished at 21:13 British Summer Time 30 August 2019
    Breaking

Notts Outlaws 124 all out (17.2 overs), Durham 171-8

Notts hopes of a home quarter-final are in Northants' hands as they collapse to 124 all out.

Moores top-scores with 33, but the hosts can't recover from a poor start and lose their last three wickets for one run.

  18. 50 runs

for Eoin Morganpublished at 21:13 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Middlesex 203-4 (16 overs) - target 227

He's 54 from 21 balls, half-century reached with a cow-corner six for the England captain. he then cuts a four backward of square.

This is incredible stuff. The required rate is now a run a ball.

200 is up as well, almost incidental! Somerset are completely stunned.

  19. wicket

Double strike for Essexpublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Kent 165-6 (18 overs) - target 190

Kent batsman Heino Kuhn is bowledImage source, Rex Features

Kent need 25 runs from the last two overs and have just lost two wickets. Not looking good.

Heino Kuhn was bowled by Ravi Bopara and the Essex all-rounder got rid of Ollie Robinson in the same over.

    Game changing.

  20. All on Morganpublished at 21:08 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Middlesex 185-4 (15 overs) - target 227

This is ridiculous. Middlesex are looking like they SHOULD chase down 227 against Somerset. Only 42 runs needed from five overs, crazy.

And the reason is because England captain Eoin Morgan is at the crease doing Eoin Morgan things. He's just heaved the ball out of the park on the leg side and now has 48 from 20 balls.
