  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.4 overs

    Delany b Patel 0 (Leicestershire 6-1)

Early strike from Samit Patel and Gareth Delany is gone without scoring!

That quite frankly, is a terrible shot!

Delany backs away a mile outside leg stump and just takes a massive mow at it and misses by a mile!

Samit won't be gifted many more wickets like that in his career.

  2. Leicestershire 1-0published at 1 over

    Welch 1, Delany 0

Very tidy first over with just the one off it from Imad Wasim.

Nick Welch with a late cut to short third man.

It'll be spin from both ends to start for Notts as Samit Patel gets the honour from the Radcliffe Road End.

  3. Here we go!published at 18:00 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

Leicestershire batting first with openers Nick Welch and Gareth Delany with Imad Wasim getting us started with the ball from the Pavilion End.

Two East Midlands rivals go head-to-head at Trent Bridge in a repeat of the T20 final on the very same ground way back in 2006.

It was a very damp affair that evening where the Foxes prevailed and after a long old day shall we say, enjoying the hospitality, I can just about remember how cold it was too in the stands!

Notts reached the last eight this year after losing just once as they topped the North Group. Leicestershire's win at Lancashire in the final match plus a few other results going their way, saw them take one of the two best third-placed spots.

Tonight, Notts have won the toss and elected to bowl first.

    Here are your two teams:

Notts Outlaws: Alex Hales, Chris Nash, Joe Clarke, Ben Duckett, Tom Moores (wk), Dan Christian (c), Steven Mullaney, Samit Patel, Imad Wasim, Matthew Carter, Jake Ball.

Leicestershire Foxes: Nick Welch, Gareth Delany, Arron Lilley, Colin Ackermann (c), Lewis Hill, Harry Swindells (wk), Ben Mike, Callum Parkinson, Dieter Klein, Will Davis, Gavin Griffifths.

    Breaking

    Gloucestershire 114-3 (11.5 overs) v Northants 113 (19.4 overs)

    HigginsImage source, PA Media

That is about as one-sided a quarter-final as you will ever see.

Gloucestershire beat Northamptonshire by seven wickets as Ryan Higgins strikes four consecutive fours off Graeme White to get them home with 49 balls to spare.

Gloucestershire are off to their first finals day since 2007 and who would bet against them winning the thing for a first time based on that evidence?

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

    Robinson st Davies b Parkinson 0 (Sussex 78-8 v Lancs 140-8)

Out first ball! Three wickets in four balls for Matt Parkinson and he's on a hat-trick!

Ollie Robinson dances down the track, misses, and Alex Davies whips off the bails.

Danny Briggs survives the hat-trick delivery.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

    Garton b Parkinson 1 (Sussex 78-7 v Lancs 140-8)

    Sussex are throwing this away.

George Garton attempts a reverse-sweep off Matt Parkinson, he misses, the ball bounces off his thigh pad and onto the stumps.

    Seven down, 63 more needed.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

    MacLeod c Wood b Parkinson 9 (Sussex 77-6 v Lancs 140-8)

Lancashire have one foot in Finals Day.

Calum MacLeod sweeps Matt Parkinson behind square, but it's in the air, and Luke Wood clings on to a sharp, low catch.

64 needed off 35 balls as Will Beer comes to the middle.

  20. Postpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

    Sussex 77-5 (14 overs) v Lancashire 140-8

Another over ticks by with no boundary for Sussex.

They need 64 off the last six overs. George Garton and Calum MacLeod are at the crease. Lancashire are definitely favourites now.
