We mentioned earlier that, even at this stage of the season, Chris Wood could yet score against 22 of the other 23 teams in the Championship.

He told ´óÏó´«Ã½ Newcastle: "It's important for us to concentrate on ourselves. We have to just get three points in very game."

He added: "We had chances to score more goals but the final pass wasn't the best.

"We wanted to finish the game but also manage the game better towards the end."

And that's us for the first period. Yann Kermorgant's 21st-minute strike has Reading ahead against Championship play-off rivals Leeds.

And reading almost use the extra 60 seconds very wisely indeed, as Yann Kermorgant guides an effort from 20 yards against the outside of the post.

It was the polar opposite of his goal, this time just passing the ball towards the corner of Rob Green's net - only this time it fell the wrong side.

Leeds seem to be ending the half the stronger after that flurry of opportunities, but a sustained spell of pressure ends with a foul by Kyle Bartley.

Rotherham interim manager Paul Warne says he wants something positive to come from their final seven games. The Millers were relegated back to League One after a defeat by Fulham.

"If I'm truly honest I knew we were down prior to this game. I didn't let that out to the lads but they're not stupid.

"I'm the manager who took them down so it's not great for my ego or self esteem but I was proud of some of what we did today.

"I want something positive from what's left, whatever that may be."

Pablo Hernandez wastes a terrific chance to equalise, stretching to connect with Alfonso Pedraza's cross but sending his effort looping over.

Another ball through splits the Leeds defence and Garath McCleary races clean through on goal, but it's a bit of a nothing finish up against goalkeeper Rob Green, who is out quickly to smother it.

Roy Beerens is so close to scoring an absolute belter, latching onto John Swift's cute pass over the top, bringing the ball down brilliantly but then firing over.

Could he have dinked it over Rob Green? It's probably a harsh criticism, because the first touch was superb.

Reading look really, really comfortable here. It's always a safety-first policy from Jaap Stam's team, keeping the ball when they get it and quickly getting men behind the ball when they lose it.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton admitted his team were not on top form in their win over Blackburn. The Seagulls saw off struggling Blackburn 1-0 in front of the biggest ever league crowd at the Amex.

"I thought they were good but we knew that because they're on a good run," he told ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sussex.

"I didn't think we were at our best but we were able to raise it in the second half and that is what got us the victory.

"When you don't play the way you would like to play then you've got to take winning any way it comes."

He added: "The crowd were excellent and they were good even in periods when we weren't at our best."

Leeds' star striker Chris Wood has stayed down after a challenge with Tyle Blackett, who appeared to clatter the Kiwi in the face with an arm. It all looked accidental, though, and Wood's back on his feet now.

Reading, meanwhile, are back on the ball...

They say goals change games, but I'm not sure this one has. The pattern of the match has already settled back down, with Reading keeping the ball and Leeds keeping their shape.

That said, Alfonso Pedraza almost sniffs himself out half a chance as the visitors spring a counter-attack, but it doesn't trouble Ali Al-Habsi.
