FT: Man Utd 0-2 Man City

Manchester City were the better side. They played the better football, they created the better chances. They looked more in sync with each other, the final third football was better and it was 80% City, 20% Manchester United.

United just didn't do enough in the final and Marcus Rashford was wasted down the right-hand side and Anthony Martial should have done more.

James Foster: What on earth is Van De Beek going to do in two minutes? I'm constantly bemused by Solskjaer's substitutions.

Simon Goodall: They should just rename the League Cup the Etihad Cup.

How much stoppage time will we see? I'm not sure even 20 minutes would be enough for United. They've had no cutting edge.

Aleksander: Anthony Martial needs to be sold. End of. Drags the team down, blunts attacks and genuinely feels we play with 10 men. Useless.

Nero Adaka: I鈥檝e said this over and over again. Martial is just not good enough to be No9 for Manchester United. He just doesn鈥檛 do enough or have the guile and desire for that position.

Mike Crew: By no means the most important thing going on in the world right now; but 4 semi final defeats in a row is 鈥渧ery disappointing鈥.

That's the reliable Fernandinho. On the volley, it's a great, out-swinging cross from Kevin de Bruyne. Aaron Wan-Bissaka flicks it right to the edge of the D and there's Fernandinho, waiting for any loose ball to come out. I don't even think Dean Henderson seen it until late. Great strike!

    Fernandinho

Booooom. That surely is City into the final.

Kevin de Bruyne's corner is headed by Anthony Martial and then Aaron Wan-Bissaka into the path of Fernandinho.

He hits an absolute thunderbolt of a volley into the bottom corner. Dean Henderson had no chance.
