Comoros can be hugely proud of their efforts. No-one gave them a chance when they had to name a left back in goal because of Covid-19 and injuries and even less of a chance when they were down to 10 men early on but they pushed Cameroon all the way. Superb effort.

Brave Comoros, however, are not happy. They were on the attack as the whistle was blown.

There's three minutes of time added on. Not much time for Cameroon to hold on and not much time for Comoros to grab an equaliser.

More changes for Comoros as Fouad Bachirou is replaced by Moussa Djoumoi while Said Bakari makes way for Ali M'Madi and Ibroihim Youssouf is on for Mohamed Youssouf.

Comoros are ranked 132nd in the world, they are playing with a left back in goal and had a player sent off in the first five minutes yet they are still in this and, but for some superb keeping, could have actually been on course for a big upset.

Andre Onana has certainly been the busier of the two goalkeepers and he denies Comoros pulling one back as he pushes away El Fardou Ben's strong effort from inside the box.

Comoros have certainly had their moments!

Karl Toko Ekambi, scorer of the opening goal, goes off and is replaced by James Lea Siliki, currently at Middlesbrough.

Vincent Aboubakar, who got the second, is also saved for the quarter-finals as Stephane Bahoken takes his place.

Comoros make another change as Benjaloud Youssouf is replaced by forward Faiz Mattoir.

Comoros break quickly again and work the ball neatly into the Cameroon box as Abdallah Ali Mohamed gets away from the defence and shoots towards the near post where Onana gets a strong hand to push behind.

It has been a hugely valiant battle by Comoros but Cameroon are on their way to the quarter-finals.

Half a chance for Comoros as the ball is cut back to Youssouf M'Changama inside the area but he is just beaten to the ball as he attempts to shoot.

Cameroon are upping the pressure and go close to that elusive second as Christian Bassogog rides a couple of challenges just inside the area before thumping an effort just wide of the post.
