Paddy Emmerson: Those saying Klopp should go clearly know nothing about football and just react to polls put on websites by people more interested in headlines than actual football.

Mark Whittle: I think that line-up may be Klopp conceding that a cup run isn't happening for them this season. Prioritising the League, one assumes.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking to ´óÏó´«Ã½ One: "After a game like that [against Brighton] there’s no chance for any kind of good mood. You need a bit of time to let it process and let it settle. [This game] gives you a new opportunity – that’s what we’re here for.

"We’ve changed a lot, obviously. Most of these players didn’t play on Saturday. A reaction is important today. That’s the challenge. That’s how you get out of these situations."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he will not leave the club unless he is forced to, and hinted at changes at Anfield during the summer.

The German's comments come amid a run of poor form for the Reds, who are ninth in the Premier League and 10 points off a top-four spot.

"Either the manager's position changes or a lot of other things change," said Klopp.

"So, as far as I am concerned unless someone tells me I will not go."

He added: "So that means maybe there is a point where we have to change other stuff. We will see that, but that is something for the future. Like summer or whatever. Not now.

"I have space and time to think about it. We have to play better football now."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says his struggling team need to go "back to basics" to improve their form.

The Reds were beaten 3-0 by Brighton on Saturday and are ninth in the Premier League - 10 points off a top-four spot.

They have conceded eight goals in their last three games, and lost three of their previous six matches.

"We have to be more compact," said Klopp before the FA Cup third-round replay at Wolves.

"The pitch looks too big when we are defending. You have to go back to basics and from there you can make steps.

"We have to do some things slightly different and some things the same. All the success in football starts with solid defending and that's what we have to do again."
