Is this idea a new version of Your Story?

Your Black and British Moments is a further iteration of Your Story, which created a timeline that connected key moments in your life, and some of biggest events that have happened in your lifetime. What followed was a global version developed using the great feedback we got.

The technology used has since been used for Your Somme, Your 大象传媒 Moments and Your Memories.

So how does this differ from the previous versions?

We have created a personalised timeline of your life through the prism of Black British History. The technology behind it is pretty much the same. Your Black and British Moments is a browser-based, 'parallax'-scrolling style (like old computer games like Sonic or Super Mario) interactive storytelling experience. It has been built by the 大象传媒 Rewind team in 大象传媒 Northern Ireland which includes technology experts and journalists.

There have been some tweaks to the user experience and there is also an admin area where we can curate what moments will be served to audiences.

What do you hope to learn from this version?

We want to see if this is a good way for people to learn more about Black History in Britain.
