The 大象传媒 Tees/TJFA Recognition Award

The recognition award is given each week on 大象传媒 Tees Sport, Thursdays between 7.30pm and 8pm, when Alastair Brownlee and the Teesside Junior Football Alliance give a special pat on the back to a team that's achieved something great this week.

December 4 Winner - Mark Nassau

Mark has twice achieved the honour of being selected as the TJFA North Riding County Referee of the Year at our Presentation Evenings at The Tall Trees.

Last weekend he achieved maximum marks of 100/100 from both Teams when Marton FC played hosts to Brinkburn FC in the Under 14 first division. Although the score of 7-0 to the home Team suggests the match itself was a relatively one-sided affair, it is very, very rare that the Team losing by such a margin would ever consider giving a Referee full marks, but , to their credit, Brinkburn FC did.

December 11 Winner - Sean Close and Skelton United

Chris Ord from TJFA writes: "Well, with very few games played last Sunday (bloomin' weather), I thought we might struggle for a team award but hey presto, one particular match sprang out!

"Skelton United U10 played hosts to Cleveland Juniors in the last 16 of the TJFA Challenge Cup last Sunday and produced an excellent performance in winning the match 2-1. Cleveland Juniors are a very well organised first division side and Skelton are currently just below mid-table in the third (lowest division at this age group)!"

December 18 Winner - Jim Sullivan and Kader FC

Jim Sullivan has been involved with Kader FC for around 25 years and goes back to the time when it was a Youth Centre based Club. Now it is stand alone and is one of the most well respected clubs in the TJFA.

Jim has been an absolute inspiration to all who have met up with him over the years and has been especially hard-working for all involved with Kader FC.
