When you need a username
If you register when you鈥檙e under 13, we鈥檒l ask you to create a username rather than enter your email address. You'll then use this username every time you sign in.
Your username will be private and won鈥檛 ever be shown publicly on any 大象传媒 website or app.
When you need a display name
You鈥檒l need to create a display name if you want to do anything public on a 大象传媒 website or app. For example, if you post a picture or comment on a 大象传媒 News story.
Your display name will be public. So don't use your real name, or any other information that could identify you, like your phone number, email address, street name or school name.
We鈥檒l reject any display names we think are rude. If that happens to you, please choose something different.
