In March 2009, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Cymru Wales turned the spotlight on childhood with a special season of programming and online content about growing up in Wales today. The season coincided with the 50th anniversary of the United Nations' declaration on the rights of the child and followed a series of reports about the state of childhood in the early part of the 21st century. By asking What are we doing to our kids? the aim was to spark a national discussion across a range of themes, from how youngsters play today to the plight of those raised in poverty.
