Full Ponty Festival details

Despite its current hiatus after two active years, Pontypridd's Full Ponty is Wales' foremost rock festival. Its continued existence is unconfirmed.

The Blackout

Line-up 2007

Created by Porth's Pop Factory enterprise, the Full Ponty came into existence in 2006, with a line-up that included Feeder, Goldie Lookin' Chain, The Automatic and Funeral For A Friend.

Its line-up was spread across two days in the town's Ynysyngharad Park, with the rock-orientated second day more successful than the indie-orientated first. This resulted in a fine-tuning of the event in 2007.

The second year's event was confined to a single day, spread across three stages. The main stage played host to no fewer than six Welsh bands: Lostprophets, The Automatic, The Blackout, The Guns, The New 1920 and Miss Conduct.

Lostprophets' headlining set was something of a triumphant homecoming, celebratory in atmosphere as they played to 10,000 people, joined by other bands and family members.

The other stages hosted the likes of Paramore, Kids In Glass Houses and Gallows.
