Born: 4 September 1972, Cardiff
Role: Bass
Ever since George Harrison picked up a guitar in the late 1950s, it's been almost compulsory to have a 'quiet one' in every band. Guto is probably the closest in SFA.
I'm sure another format will come about for us to play with. I'd like to do album that involves smell, for example. So I'll just sit back and wait for that technology to be developed.
Guto Pryce
He chooses not to sing - the only one in the band that does - and prefers to stay out of the limelight on stage. However, he did provide the weird vocal loop at the beginning of the 2001 b-side Tradewinds.
Prior to SFA, Guto played bass in U Thant, which featured Bunf on guitar. He also played on some of Catatonia's early recordings for the Crai label.
A massive Beach Boys and Love fan, Guto once said his favourite album of all time is Forever Changes. He's also the band member most likely to be found bothering the decks at the SFA's occasional Furrysounds DJ appearances.
