Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia has been celebrating the 50th anniversary of the work of Doctor Catherine Hamlin.

She and her husband founded the hospital which pioneered surgery to help repair injuries suffered during childbirth.

It is now a teaching centre for medical staff from all over the world, and Dr Hamlin - who is originally from Australia - is still operating one day a week despite being in her mid eighties.

When she visited our studios, Bola Mosuro asked her how it all began.
