Vieux Farka Touré, son of the great Malian guitarist and Grammy award winner, Ali Farka Touré is making his own name in the family business.

His debut and eponymous album came out in 2006, shortly after his father's death. The collection of traditional Malian favourites carried some of the last recordings of the late maestro at work.
The new album, Fondo, blends the old with the new and Vieux's dexterous guitar solos light up his arrangements; it is an album representative of contemporary, globally connected Africa.
With the help of colleague, Ibrahima Diane of our French Service, Bola Mosuro asked him to explain the title of his new release.
